The site of one of Colorado's oldest truck stops - Deno's 6 & 85  in Commerce City - met a fiery end early on March 2, 2025.

Truckers knew it for its towering neon sign.

The South Adams County Fire Department, Adams County Fire Rescue and Platte Valley Ambulance responded.

Firefighters "encountered high heat, heavy fire and heavy smoke" upon arrival, South Adams Fire said in a social media post.
Deno's, which featured a restaurant and a bar, closed after seven decades and the old building was surrounded by a chain-link fence. The abandoned site near the Suncor Commerce City Refinery had fallen into disrepair.
